Intravenous Vitamin C (IVC) Therapy
Idledale, Colorado

High-dose intravenous vitamin C is an advanced IV therapy used in integrative wellness practices around the world. Unlike oral supplementation, intravenous administration bypasses the digestive system and allows substantially higher concentrations of vitamin C to reach the bloodstream. At Hygeia, IVC is individualized based on your health history, goals, and overall wellness plan.

## What is vitamin C (IVC) therapy and why is it important?

Vitamin C is an essential nutrient and powerful antioxidant involved in collagen formation, normal immune function, and numerous processes throughout the body. Because the human body cannot manufacture vitamin C, it must come from outside sources.

Oral vitamin C is limited by gastrointestinal absorption. Intravenous administration bypasses the digestive tract, allowing blood concentrations that cannot typically be achieved through oral supplementation alone.

High-dose IVC has been studied in a number of areas, including its potential role in supportive and integrative care. Research continues to explore its applications, appropriate dosing, and potential benefits. At Hygeia, IV vitamin C is individualized rather than treated as a one-size-fits-all therapy.

## FAQs

### 01 Is it safe?

IV vitamin C is generally well tolerated when appropriately screened, dosed, and administered, but it is not appropriate for everyone. Before treatment, relevant health history and safety considerations are reviewed. Higher-dose protocols may require additional screening and laboratory testing, including G6PD testing.

### 02 What are the contraindications?

Certain health conditions, medications, laboratory findings, and individual risk factors may affect whether IV vitamin C is appropriate. Kidney function, iron-related conditions, G6PD status for higher doses, and other relevant health history may be considered as part of the screening process. Appropriate safety considerations are reviewed before treatment.

### 03 How often do I need treatments?

The frequency of IV vitamin C treatments depends on your individual health history, goals, dose, and overall wellness plan. IV therapy is best thought of as a process rather than a one-time solution, and some clients choose to complete a series of treatments depending on what they are working toward.
In the beginning, a more consistent schedule may be recommended. Depending on the individual and the reason for treatment, this may mean receiving IV vitamin C once or twice per week for a period of time. As the plan progresses, frequency may be adjusted based on response, goals, tolerance, and clinical considerations.
Some clients eventually transition to less frequent treatments, such as every other week, monthly, or periodic wellness support, while others may only choose occasional IV therapy. There is no one-size-fits-all schedule.
Holly will work with you to determine a plan that makes sense for your health goals, lifestyle, and budget. If you are dealing with more complex or chronic health concerns, a 90-Minute Deep Dive Consultation and/or KUREwave BioAnalysis may be recommended first so we can look at the bigger picture and develop a more personalized roadmap.

### 04 How much does it cost?

IV Vitamin C starts at $150. Current pricing is $150 for 15 g, $200 for 25 g, $250 for 50 g, and $300 for 75 g. Additional screening or laboratory testing may be required for higher-dose protocols.
